Enactor has appointed Alan Townsend as Sales Director to drive new business growth. Alan has extensive UK and international experience in senior sales roles leading the aggressive growth of technology solutions companies. He will head the company’s efforts to build relationships with new customers and lead the development of new partnerships and alliances.
Alan has worked for many large international category leaders and has built an experience base of industry best practices. He began his career with NCR before moving briefly to SAP and then Sun Microsystems. As CEO of Sun EMEA he grew the company’s super server and ISP infrastructures leading to a tenfold increase in turnover. At Wincor Nixdorf UK Alan led the company’s entry into self-service and self-checkout solutions and built a professional services team to move the solution portfolio from a hardware bias to software, managed services, implementation and support.
Alan joins Enactor from BT Expedite where he led sales of the company’s store and merchandising solutions, networks and consultancy services.
